Location 6: Oblique aerial photographs at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. Oblique aerial photographs collected before (top) and after (bottom) Hurricane Matthew. Storm waves and surge eroded the the dunes and exposed State Road 12 to wave attack, undercutting the roadway. The yellow arrows in each image point to the same features in both photos.
