Oblique aerial photographs of Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge, Kinnakeet, North Caolina. View looking west along the North Carolina shore. Overwash transported sand across the island (and road) and an overwash fan was deposited on the marsh and in the estuary. The yellow arrow in each image points to the same feature.
