Oblique aerial photographs of Rodanthe, North Carolina. View looking west along the North Carolina shore. Beach erosion moved the shoreline landward to reach houses built on the beach. Sand on the roads behind the beach indicates landward transport of sand by overwash. The yellow arrow in each image points to the same feature.
