Percent live canopy (left) and height (right) of cottonwood trees as a function of height above water surface (HAWS). Colors indicate DLP (blue), ILP (green), and CAN (magenta). Trees at CAN have lower percent live canopy and height than trees upstream at ILP and DLP. From Thaxton and others (2024).
