Phantom Ranch Tour - cottonwoods growing along Garden Creek

These cottonwoods are growing along Garden Creek along the Bright Angel Trail near the Great Unconformity (the erosional surface between the underlying Precambrian-age granite and the overlying Cambrian-age Tapeats Sandstone, visible near the center of the image). Snow-covered cliff tops in the distance are on the South Rim.
