Pinnacles - west side of park

This grassy field will soon be home to a new visitor center for the West Side of Pinnacles National Monument. The site provides an exceptional view of the High Peaks portion of the park where Tertiary volcanic rocks crop out. Elevations in the High Peaks area are about 800 meters (2,700 ft).
