Prescribed burn in Twin Lakes, California

Applegate fire crews have now successfully treated 500 acres of the Twin Lakes project, which is 18 miles southeast of Cedarville, CA with 115 acres completed yesterday. This prescribed burn included burning of piled juniper to remove fuels to reduce the risk of catastrophic wildfires that could damage natural resources and communities. Photo by Scott Joyce (BLM).
