Reflectance spectra of representative expanded vermiculite ore samples
Detailed Description
Reflectance spectra of representative expanded vermiculite ore samples from each of the four major historical sources: Libby, Montana; Louisa, Virginia; Enoree, South Carolina; Palabora, South Africa. The shapes of the 1.40- and 2.32-micrometer (μm) composite absorptions vary depending on sample mineralogy and composition. Arrows mark the long wavelength edge of the intense Fe-electronic absorption envelope; vertical lines mark the 2.24- and 2.38-μm composite absorptions
