Restoration Point on Bainbridge Island in the greater Seattle area

Detailed Description

Restoration Point on Bainbridge Island in the greater Seattle area, uplifted instantaneously 7 meters (23 feet) out of the waters of Puget Sound by an earthquake on the crustal Seattle fault, about 1,100 years ago. A repeat of this earthquake today would devastate the structures shown and surrounding community, as well as the ports and infrastructure linking the island to the mainland.
