Sound influence on invasive carp
Detailed Description
Conceptual framework illustrating how underwater sound may be used to influence the movement of invasive carp. Sounds can be deployed as deterrents to restrict or redirect movement, as attractants to aggregate fish, or in herding configurations to guide fish toward harvest or exclusion zones. Research at the Columbia Environmental Research Center evaluates these responses across laboratory, pond, and field settings to inform management applications.
