South shore, Walker Lake, Gates of the Arctic National Park and Preserve.  Dominant ecotypes include Upland Moist Dwarf Birch-Ericaceous-Willow Low Shrub, Upland Rocky-loamy Moist Circumacidic Alder-Willow Tall Shrub, and Upland Loamy Moist Circumalkaline Willow Low Shrub.
