Detailed Description

The Imperial eagle (Aquila heliaca) breeds in southeastern Europe to central Asia. Most populations migrate and winter in northeastern Africa and southeastern Asia. In Europe, the speicies is threatened with extinction and is gone from many areas of its former range.
