Tommy Dewald and Keven Roth received Henry Gannett award in 2011

Mr. Tommy Dewald (EPA) and Ms. Keven Roth (USGS, retired), for their collaborative efforts to develop the surface water dataset of the Nation called National Hydrography Dataset.  Starting in the 1990’s, they methodically canvased water scientists across the country to determine the elements that would create the 21st century solution they had envisioned.  The awards ceremony was held on May 12, 2011 in Denver, Colorado.
