Top 3 U.S. Reservoirs by size

Detailed Description

It’s hard to imagine, but some of our American reservoirs are out-standing in their size! When compared to all American reservoirs, these three stand out: 

  1. Oahe Reservoir in South Dakota has an exceptionally long shoreline at 1,675 kilometers
  2. Red Lake Reservoir in Minnesota has an exceptionally large surface area at 1,142 square kilometers
  3. Lake Mead Reservoir in Arizona and Nevada has an exceptionally large volume of water at over 36,000 million cubic meters!
