Top 3 U.S. Reservoirs by size

It’s hard to imagine, but some of our American reservoirs are out-standing in their size! When compared to all American reservoirs, these three stand out:
- Oahe Reservoir in South Dakota has an exceptionally long shoreline at 1,675 kilometers
- Red Lake Reservoir in Minnesota has an exceptionally large surface area at 1,142 square kilometers
- Lake Mead Reservoir in Arizona and Nevada has an exceptionally large volume of water at over 36,000 million cubic meters!
