Detailed Description
A covered water tank will be safe from direct ashfall contamination. Disconnecting the downpipe from the tank will prevent ashfall on the roof entering the tank. The roof, gutters and downpipes should be thoroughly cleaned after ashfall stops before reconnecting the downpipe to the tank.
