Welding well casing at a drilling site
Detailed Description
Drill Rig Operator Gregory Lutwack welds a section of steel well casing alongside a canal at a Research Drilling Program site. Crews cut, fit and weld casing on site as a well is constructed, which lets them adjust the string to conditions encountered in the borehole. Welding in the field also means the program does not have to wait on outside fabrication or haul prefitted pipe to remote locations.
The last sentence is an inference from how the setup looks rather than something Jon's team told you; cut it if you'd rather not assert it. The safety and name-spelling checks from before still apply.
