Detailed Description
On the afternoon of Friday, October 22, 2021, the Halema‘uma‘u eruption continued in Kīlaueas summit caldera. The west vent fountains were measured at up to 23 meters (75 ft), viewed here around 2 p.m. HST looking to the west from a vantage point on the south rim of the crater. USGS photo by K. Lynn.
