Title:  Long-term drought assessment:  hydrologic, ecological, and social impacts

Date:  March 14, 2025, at 2:00-2:30 pm Eastern/11:00 -11:30 am Pacific

Speaker:  Jason Dunham, Aquatic Ecologist, USGS Forest and Rangeland Ecosystem Science Center

Jason Dunham, Aquatic Ecologist, with the U.S. Geological Survey, Forest and Rangeland Ecosystem Science Center will describe a new effort to address drought in the West.  This effort seeks to integrate information on historical time series of ecological and hydrological factors to understand long-term dynamics of drought.  This project has benefited from the inputs of individuals from many federal land management partners and scientists within the Department of Interior.  Products from this effort will be immediately useful for managers, scientists, and other partners at any level.  Since this effort is actively evolving, now is a great time for input so we can shape it to better meet your interests and needs related to long-term drought.
