Bipartisan Infrastructure Law: Ecosystem Restoration American Conservation and Stewardship Atlas
The American Conservation and Stewardship Atlas, a key deliverable of the America the Beautiful (AtB) initiative, will provide a map-based decision support tool, science, and data to inform and assess progress in the conservation, restoration, and stewardship of America’s lands and waters. The Atlas can directly support the Department of the Interior’s implementation of Bipartisan Infrastructure Law Ecosystems Restoration investments by helping to provide the context of those investments with respect to conservation and restoration. For example, ecological restoration activities included in the American Conservation and Stewardship Atlas will empower decision makers to make decisions that complement DOI’s efforts and result in healthier and more resilient ecosystems.
Additionally, the American Conservation and Stewardship Atlas could combine information on funded projects with data used to inform potential future projects. USGS will coordinate with the four Subgroups for the Activities providing funding for the American Conservation and Stewardship Atlas, to ensure that the American Conservation and Stewardship Atlas aligns with the purpose and topics relevant to those Activities.
