On Wednesday, July 13, USGS will release a nationwide study that ranks states’ potential for having corrosive groundwater.
On Wednesday, July 13, USGS will release a nationwide study that ranks states’ potential for having corrosive groundwater. The USGS will explain how data from more than 20,000 wells was used to determine the potential for corrosivity in untreated groundwater.
Corrosive groundwater, if untreated, can dissolve lead and other metals from pipes and plumbing fixtures.
