This is a photo of white plumes of laze blow seaward from points along the front of the East Lae`apuki lava delta.
White plumes of laze blow seaward from points along the front of the East Lae`apuki lava delta where lava is entering the water. The shiny part of the delta indicates hot solidified lava that partly fills the collapse scar formed on August 27 (see below). Blue fume comes from a skylight over the lava tube feeding lava into the delta.
