MENLO PARK, Calif. Can better understanding fish diseases help to create much sought-after cures for human diseases such as Hepatitis C? On May 29^th, USGS Western Fisheries Research Center Director Jill Rolland will tell us the important work that the cutting-edge USGS research center is actively pursuing to provided reliable impartial science to managers of fish and aquatic resources in the western states to support management of these important public trust resources. An expert in fish disease science, the Dr. Rolland will explain how scientists at her state-of-the-art science center are studying fish populations, and diseases and what it means for us.
