Clarify Unrestricted Rights Clause

The current requirement contains language specific to the US Geological Survey and mentions delivery of items not specified elsewhere. The proposed revision will remove the rights language and clarify delivery requirements.

Requirements in LBS v.2.1

  • The USGS requires unrestricted rights to all delivered data and reports as they will be placed in the public domain. This specification places no restrictions on the rights of the data provider to resell data or derivative products.  

  • The USGS requires delivery of all ancillary products collected under the contract that support the processing of the lidar dataset. This includes, but is not limited to, aerial video and imagery, and all metadata associated with those data.  

Approved change:

  • Delivery is required for all ancillary products that support the processing of the lidar dataset including, but not limited to, imagery and all metadata associated with those data.
