October 27: Community Meeting in Pāhala

On Thursday, October 27, 2022, the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory will participate in a Pāhala community meeting, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., organized by the Hawai'i County Civil Defense Agency.
USGS scientists will take part in the meeting to provide background information on Mauna Loa, give an update on the current unrest, and answer questions. The meeting will be held at the Robert N. Herkes Gymnasium, 96-1219 Kamani St., Pāhala, HI.
