Cenomanian (Cretaceons) Foraminifera from the Puerto Rico Trench
An assemblage of predominantly planktonic Foraminifera is discussed from rocks of Cenomanian age dredged from between 3,200 and 3,500 fm on the north slope of the Puerto Rico Trench. Thirty-three planktonic and benthonic species are described. Planomalina pulchella is new; nine species are specifically unidentifiable. Deposition is interpreted as having been at a depth of over 1,000 fm, possibly as deep as where found.
