Ground-water maps of the Kingdom of Libya

Data relating to ground water in the Kingdom of Libya have been gathered from many sources to compile the appended ground-water maps. The information has been generalized and is presented on maps of small scale that show (1) configuration of the generalized ground-water surface,(2) depth from land surface to the regional ground-water body, (3) depth to principal aquifers, (4) chemical quality of ground water, (5) areas of water-level decline and contamination by salt water, and (6) areas where additional withdrawals are feasible.
