Phosphate bonding to goethite and pyrolusite surfaces
January 1, 1984
Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectra were obtained from pure and phosphated goethite (α-FeOOH), and pyrolusite (MnO2). The nature of the phosphate-surface bond was determined to be binuclear for goethite and bidentate for pyrolusite.
