Water-resources data for the 1997 water year for Georgia consists of discharge records for 123 gaging stations; stage for 23 gaging stations; stage and contents for 18 lakes and reservoirs; water quality for 202 continuing-record stations; and peak stage and discharge only for 77 crest-stage partial-record stations; and water levels of 24 observation wells.
The data for the South Atlantic Region in Georgia include discharge records of 50 gaging stations; stage for 9 gaging stations; stage and contents for 8 lakes and reservoirs; water quality for 120 continuing-record stations; and peak stage and discharge only for 39 crest-stage partial-record stations; and water levels for 12 observation wells.
These data represent that part of the National Water Data System collected by the U.S. Geological Survey and cooperating State and Federal agencies in Georgia.
