Matlab code to count acoustic impulses from coarse sediment particle collisions during sediment transport in rivers

This software release is a Matlab code that can be used to count acoustic impulses from coarse sediment particle collisions during sediment transport in rivers. The code also uses either a user defined threshold (preferred) or threshold computed from the overall noise of the audio files. Counts impulses exceeding the threshold which are assumed to be particle impacts of course (gravel and cobble) sediment particles.
