Brian Imig
Brian Imig is a Hydrologic Technician with the U.S. Geological Survey Central Plains Water Science Center, based in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Brian Imig currently serves as a Hydrologic Technician with the Central Plains Water Science Center (CPWSC). He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Geology from the University of Nebraska in 2008. Brian began his USGS career in 2005 as a Pathways Student Intern and transitioned to a Physical Scientist role in 2008, where he contributed to geologic framework studies across Nebraska.
In 2011, Brian accepted a position as a Hydrologic Technician with the Nebraska Water Science Center (NEWSC), focusing on hydrologic data collection, record analysis, and camera operations.
In 2022, Brian was selected to join the USGS Hydrologic Data Advisory Committee (HDAC). He served as Co-Chair for the National Water Data Training Workshop in both 2023 and 2024, helping advance national water data training initiatives.
