Daniel Senko serves as a Museum Technician with the U.S. Geological Survey’s Core Research Center in Lakewood, Colorado, where he supports the preservation, cataloging, and accessibility of the Nation’s geologic core and cuttings collections. In this role, Daniel contributes to research readiness, materials stewardship, and technical support for scientists, partner agencies, and the public.
Before joining the Department of the Interior, Daniel served as a 91B Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic in the U.S. Army, completing two Iraq deployments and earning a battlefield promotion under combat conditions. After military service, Daniel pursued degrees in Museum Studies, Photography, and Anthropology/Archeology, and now applies that experience to the stewardship of USGS geological materials.
