David Lutin is a chemist with the Algal and Environmental Toxins Unit at the Central Plains Water Science Center. His work includes algal toxin quantitation via high resolution mass spectrometry and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) methodologies, studying algal toxin degradation under dynamic environmental conditions, quantitation of cyanobacterial pigments in environmental samples via high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), and novel method development for analytical instrumentation.
