Emerson Gusto
Emerson Gusto is a Visual Information Specialist for the Science Publishing Network.
Emerson Gusto is a United States Navy veteran, where he served as an Illustrator Draftsman. In that role, he produced original artwork, technical illustrations, and computer graphics in support of briefings, visual training aids, and official publications for the U.S. Navy and joint service commands.
He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science from the University of the Pacific (Geosciences) in Stockton, California, with an emphasis in Biology.
He has contributed to fisheries and ecological research through work and volunteer service with the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, conducting fish population surveys throughout the Sacramento–San Joaquin Delta.
He also worked as a Biological Science Technician with the USGS Aquatic Ecology Group at the California Water Science Center, supporting scientific studies focused on aquatic ecosystems.
He is currently working as a science illustrator with the Science Publishing Network-Sacramento Publishing Service Center in Sacramento, California, where he applies technical, scientific, and artistic expertise to support the communication of scientific research.
