Gene Summerhill
Gene Summerhill is the Chief of the Water Budget Office for the USGS Water Resources Mission Area.
Gene is the Chief of the Water Budget Office which is responsible for the WMA overall budget activities including planning, formulation and execution. It serves as the liaison to the Bureau’s Office of Budget, Planning and Integration (BPI). The Water Budget Office also coordinates WMA interaction with BPI on matters involving budget formulation and performance reporting
Gene has been his Federal career with the Department of Defense. All of Gene’s time at USGS have been with the Water Resources Mission Area. Gene was originally hired as a staff Program Analyst but he was eventually moved into the Senior Management Officer (SMO) role before becoming the Chief of the Water Budget Office.
Gene has an Associate’s Degree in Flight Technology, CCAC Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from Robert Morris University and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration Strayer University.
