Hannah Boggs
Hannah Boggs works for the USGS National Geospatial Technical Operations Center (NGTOC).
Hannah Boggs has been with the National Geospatial Technical Operations Center (NGTOC) since 2010. She initially joined the NGTOC as a volunteer working to support contour generation and was hired a short time later in 2011 in support of the development and implementation of the 3D Elevation Program. She spent several years performing quality control, editing, and production of remotely sensed LiDAR and IfSAR data before moving over to the Hydrography Program first as a Unit Supervisor in 2016, then into the Hydrography Production Operations Section Chief position in 2019.
Throughout her tenure in the Hydrography Program, she provided ongoing program oversight and managed the maintenance and production of the National Hydrography Dataset, the Watershed Boundary Dataset, the NHDPlus High Resolution Dataset, and the 3D Hydrography Program. In 2024 she became the Deputy Director of NGTOC, a diverse position including oversight of the Agreements and Commercial Partnerships Section responsible for implementing the USGS Geospatial Products and Services Contract (GPSC).
Other responsibilities include serving as the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility Team Lead for the Core Science Systems Mission Area of the U.S. Geological Survey, providing oversight of employee growth and development for both bargaining unit employees and supervisors, and support to the NGTOC Director as required.
