Jessica M Shoffner

Jessica Shoffner is the Elevation Standards Specialist for the USGS Nation Geospatial Technical Operations Center (NGTOC).

Jessica earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology and Geophysics with a minor in Mining Engineering from the University of Science and Technology. In 2016 She joined USGS NGTOC as a cartographer in the Elevation Program, verifying and publishing elevation data for The National Map. In 2024 Jessica began her new focus as the Elevation Standards Specialist, working on the publications of the Lidar Base Specification, Topobathy Lidar Specification, and the Seamless 1-Meter specification. Prior to her career at USGS, Jessica worked as a karst hydrologist technician and cave surveyor on the Mark Twain National Forest.
