Sarah E Peterson

Sarah Peterson spent 20 years working for the U.S. Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management before joining the USGS in 2022. She has experience analyzing the impacts on water resources on federal land and ensuring the successful permitting of various land management actions. As Deputy Center Director of the Nevada Water Science Center, she assists the Center Director with daily operations and collaborates with partners to ensure that the Center staff provides relevant science to meet the needs of the public.
