image related to volcanoes. See description
This photo comparison between Sunday, August 4 and today, August 6, shows the enlargement and slight rise of ponded water at the bottom of Halema‘uma‘u. The two ponded areas in the top half of the image on August 4 have now merged into a single elongate pond, and this area is nearly connected to the main pond in the bottom of the photo. The main pond has also risen and enlarged. Laser rangefinder measurements suggest that the rise over the past two days is a meter (yard) or less.
