GLSC To Host Visiting Women In Science From African Great Lakes Region
On May 25, 2022, women in science at GLSC will host nine women in science from the African Great Lakes region to discuss their science, challenges they face, and the importance of women in freshwater sciences. USGS Deputy Director Cynthia Lodge and Acting Regional Director Jennifer Lacey will participate throughout the day and will join an afternoon barbeque at GLSC, co-hosted by the Great Lakes Fishery Commission, celebrating women in science. Congresswoman Debbie Dingell (MI-12) has been invited to the event.
