GLSC’s Nick Johnson (Millersburg, Michigan) was interviewed by Rick Fowler of the Michigan Outdoor News regarding the experimental use of the sterile male release technique as a supplemental sea lamprey control tool in Northern Michigan streams. Mr. Fowler’s story will be highlighting the outcomes of experiments conducted in collaboration with US Fish and Wildlife Service and USGS from 2017-2019. The story will also be discussing the possible future uses of sterile male release in sea lamprey control.
