Michael Castellucci

Michael Castellucci, Hydrologist, Water Quality Networks, Massachusetts office

Michael grew up among the hills and forests of West Virginia where he discovered a love for the natural world. At the University of Miami, he was involved in marine science research that utilized computer vision and machine learning to discover equations of motion for sargassum drifting on the ocean surface. Michael was also an active member of the university’s radio station, gardening club, and SCUBA club. After earning a B.S. in marine science and computer science in 2024, Michael moved to Massachusetts to begin a job with the New England Water Science Center where he is happy to use his skills to serve the public and continue his learning. In his free time, Michael likes snowboarding, music and film, video games, and soaking up the sun whenever he can.
