Background
- Discrete groundwater level measurement networks
- Lake and Porter County – 66 wells and 4 surface water stage tape downs
- Measured quarterly
- Hamilton County - 31 Wells and 1 continuous real time (Hamilton 7)
- Measured in April and September
- St Joseph County – 62 wells and 1 surface water stage tape down
- Measured in July
Networks Significance
- Lake County has provided long term quarterly groundwater level data dating back to the mid 80’s
- Some wells have water quality data associated with them
- St Joseph County has long term yearly water level dating back to 1991
- Hamilton County has long term water level records dating back to the mid 70’s

Networking
- The networks have established cooperators in some spin off projects and additional funding sources
- Hamilton 7 is a real time continuous groundwater levels
- Access to US Steel for slag samples and ArcelorMittal steel mill tour
- *New* Carmel GW/SW interaction
- *Possible* Northwest Indiana wetland monitoring

Future Plans
- NW IN network to possibly add several wells in key locations this summer
- Possibility to add some continuous monitors if cooperators show interest
- St Joseph network - possibility to add some continuous monitors if cooperators show interest
- Hamilton County - expand real time or continuous recorders
- Use GW/SW interaction project as a pilot for other areas of the state
