With a slight change in title, this is the second edition of Edwards' (1974) Coded List, from which it differs significantly. First, it covers only nonpasserines instead of all the birds of the world; presumably a list of the passerines will follow soon. The code is different, the format is expanded, and the information content is greater (3,798 species are listed as opposed to 3,656)...
