USGS St. Petersburg staff attends Geotools 2025 Conference
USGS scientists from all three Coastal and Marine Hazards and Resources Program Science Centers attended and presented an array of topics at Coastal Geotools conference in Wilmington, NC.
Kara Doran, Alex Seymour, and Michael Slattery from the St. Petersburg Coastal and Marine Science Center conducted two professional talks, engaged with dozens of decision-makers and used the opportunity to build new potential partnerships.
The USGS conducts important science for use by a variety of partners and stakeholders. This conference allows researchers to expand the base of users who know of and utilize USGS management tools as well as to further develop professional partnerships within the public and private sectors. The Coastal GeoTools conference, established in 1999, is typically held every two years and focuses on geospatial data, tools, technology, and information for coastal resource management professionals.
