Flow-Conditioned Parameter Grids (FCPGs) are a way of storing the upstream average of datasets, such as precipitation or land cover type, for all points on the landscape.
This project works to formalize methods of generating these grids and provides a pilot suite of FCPGs for other projects to experiment with. FCPGs can be used to train and drive statistical, machine learning, and physical hydrologic models. This research is supported by the StreamStats project, the Community for Data Integration, and the PROSPER project.
Objectives
- Formalize and release software to generate FCPGs.
- Generate and release a pilot suite of FCPGs.
- Research new FCPG creation methods.

Example FCPG showing stream cells with upstream average annual precipitation.
