Digital Representation of Geologic Units Above and Beneath Jurassic, Triassic, Permian, Pennsylvanian, and Mississippian Periods from USGS Publications

Paleogeologic information directly above (supracrop) and below (subcrop) geologic periods from U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) reports was digitized from scanned plates. Geologic periods maps include the Jurassic (McKee and Others, 1956), Triassic (McKee and Others, 1959), Permian (McKee and McKee, 1967), Pennsylvanian (McKee and Crosby, 1975), and Mississippian (Craig and Connor, 1979).

Data available in this data release includes compressed (.zip) folders of shapefiles, a File Geodatabase (GDB) of feature classes, the scanned plate images, and layer files that can be used to symbolize the subcrop and supracrop data shown in the shapefiles and/or GDB feature classes.
