Earthquake Catalogs of Cascade Range Volcanoes in the United States since 1980
The earthquake catalogs begin January 1, 1980. The dataset has been generated using the Advanced National Seismic System (ANSS) Quake Management System (AQMS) tool dbselect, which queries the earthquake catalog in a way that is not possible using the United States Geological Survey Comprehensive Catalog (Comcat). In particular, low frequency earthquakes are not distinguishable from volcano tectonic earthquakes in Comcat. Reviewed locations are included and data are given in Hypoinverse Summary format. Each high threat or very high threat volcano, based on Ewert and others (2018) has a separate catalog for volcano-tectonic earthquakes and another for low frequency earthquakes, except earthquakes in Northern California, which are grouped in a single file (ncCat.eq.sum, ncCat.lf.sum). For volcanoes in Oregon and Washington, the catalog extends to a radius of 50 kilometers from the summit of the respective volcano.
