These data were simulated to use in a conceptual paper that explores the impacts of temperature and drifting invertebrate prey assemblages on Rainbow Trout. Objectives of our study were to examine how warming-induced changes in invertebrate prey production and size structure may impact the growth rate and maximum body size of Rainbow Trout in freshwater ecosystems using drift-foraging bioenergetics models. The data were not collected in nature, but rather simulated. Values in our simulations were guided by previously published studies in riverine environments.
