Fabric orientations for metamorphic and plutonic rocks in the Ruby Dome quadrangle, Elko County, Nevada

August 21, 2026

This report compiles structural orientations of rock fabrics measured at outcrops of metamorphic and plutonic rocks in part of the Ruby Mountains metamorphic core complex. Measurements are reported for foliations, lineations, elongation mylonitic lineations, fold axes, fold asymmetry, and fold axial planes, many of which are plotted directly on the Geologic map of the Ruby Dome quadrangle, Elko County, NV: Nevada Bureau of Mines and Geology Map-196 (2026) by K.A. Howard, A.T. Strike, A.W. Snoke, and C.G. Barnes, scale 1:24,000. Stereonet plots of the data are contained in an interpretive report accompanying the cited geologic map. The measurements are here binned in 9 rectangular areas roughly 4x4.5 km in size approximating ninths of the Ruby Dome quadrangle; a 10th rectangular part (E-5-8) overlaps two of the others.  Null values are left blank.
