Geochemical data, thin section images, and modal mineralogy of selected bedrock samples from the Halifax County complex, North Carolina

This data release contains geochemical data, thin section images, and modal mineralogy from bedrock samples of the Halifax County complex in North Carolina. The geochemical data comprise whole-rock major oxide and trace element abundances in 11 samples. Modal mineralogy was obtained by powder X-ray diffraction and the Rietveld method of the same 11 samples. Pairs of thin section images in plane-polarized light and cross-polarized light are included for 10 of 11 samples (all except HCC_11) .
